Mastering iOS 9: Customize Your Assistive Touch Menu

In the new iOS 9, Apple offers more customizable options for iOS users especially on Assistive touch. In the previous version of Assistive touch, there are only 6 top level menu options: Notification Center, Device, Control Center, Home, Siri and the sixth one customizable. Now, you are allowed to set up 8 top level menu as you wish.

How to Customize Top Level Menu Options

Step 1. Go to “Settings” > “General” > “Accessibility” on your iPhone/iPad that are using iOS 9 as the operating system.

Step 2. Find “AssistiveTouch” in the next window and make sure that it is turned on.

Step 3. After turn on AssistiveTouch on your iPhone/iPad, tap the “+” to add the icons from 6 to 8 as the interface below shows.

Step 4. After operating what is told in step 3, you can tap on the new option and there will be a drop-down list provided for your choice.

Note: The added one will be in grey and can’t be chosen. You can choose those shown in black and move on.
